About Us

Our Accomplishments

Regional Fisheries Enhancement Groups (RFEGs) have a 25-year track record at the community level and have implemented nearly 4,000 projects.

RFEGs instill a sense of interest and stewardship for local watersheds and the fish that inhabit them by reaching over 55,000 Washington citizens annually through education and outreach activities about stewardship of salmon resources.

  • RFEGs are one of the biggest sponsors of salmon recovery projects.
  • RFEGs are critical partners to the State in putting habitat restoration projects on-the-ground.
  • RFEGs implement complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and goals.
  • RFEGs are able to quickly respond to new priorities – such as drought relief or fish passage.

In 2015, RFEGs completed 162 projects and leveraged over $15 million in additional funding from grants, tribes, and community support.
