Willow Creek Salmon and Watershed Education Center Coho Rearing and Release

The Willow Creek Salmon and Watershed Education Center operated by Sound Salmon Solutions (SSS) has a unique opportunity to raise up to 80,000 coho salmon each year, giving volunteers a chance to directly impact salmon restoration.

Volunteers are invited to each stage of the salmon rearing process, from the egg delivery to the transfer to the pond as fry and then even getting to hand release them into a local stream. This opportunity really gives SSS staff the opportunity to teach youth and adults alike about ways they can help salmon, from washing their cars at car washes to using natural or homemade cleaners.
