Prior to the eruption of Mount Saint Helens in 1980, this high valley supported significant runs of Chinook, coho, steelhead, sea run cutthroat trout, and pacific lamprey.
To increase and improve existing habitat, LCFEG added over 400 pieces of wood to Little Cow Creek — improving .39 miles of instream and .42 miles of off-channel habitat.
We also opened 1.64 acres of alder-dominant canopy and revegetated with diverse riparian species as well as underplanting 11.86 acres of alder with western red cedar.
