Mid-Columbia Fisheries Enhancement Group

Mid-Columbia Fisheries recently completed a two-year effort to assess the potential to restore habitat in Cabin Creek, a significant tributary to the Upper Yakima River.

The assessment synthesized historic information and new field surveys to identify and prioritize restoration goals and opportunities in the watershed. 

The work was supported by RFEG funds and a grant from the Salmon Recovery Funding Board. Agencies and the Yakama Nation provided technical support, with a special focus on cost-effective restoration actions that will maximize ecological benefits.
