Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife has been working with Cascade Fisheries on a large environmental remediation and stream restoration project since 2012. With tremendous support from key partners, the project was finally completed in 2025.

Complex projects like this require teamwork. Our team can now look at this piece of public property with pride knowing that we resolved a human health hazard by cleaning up high concentrations of lead and created tremendous fish habitat for endangered stocks of salmon and steelhead in the Wenatchee basin.

This project showcases what collaboration can achieve. Thank you to our funders at the Recreation Conservation Office, Washington Department of Ecology, Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation, Bonneville Power Administration, and Bureau of Reclamation. Thank you to our design team; Natural Systems Design, WDFW, Elliot Consulting, USFWS and others.
